Corpening Wins Gateway Classic - Largest Payday of the Year
The Adams Pro Tour holds one event a year in the Dallas area, the Gateway Buick GMC Classic. It is conveniently scheduled around the PGA's Byron Nelson qualifying which makes for a large, strong field. One hundred fifty-two players teed it up on Wednesday and it all came down to one putt on the 72-hole.
Franklin Corpening had what every player wants. A 4 foot putt to win. The putt dropped and he found himself in the winners circle pocketing the Tour's largest first prize of the year - $26,500! And to cap-off the month, Franklin will be playing in this week's Dean and Deluca Invitational at Colonial CC in Ft Worth.
Good Luck Franklin!
